Dr. Cyn will speak at Nashville Zine City Fest about the work they do in their graduate social work public policy course to support students to create zines and publish papers about social movements.

This year TSU's Social Work program will be a part of Nashville's Zine City Fest!! Come visit our table during the Open Air Market on Saturday, and then join us again on Sunday when Dr. George will start off the zine fest presentations at 11 am with a session titled "Essential Skills for Change: Zines and Social Movements." Dr. George and their students will be sharing work completed in SOWK 6030, the foundation level graduate social work policy course that is published in the Creating Change journal.
Creating Change: The Online Journal of Zines about Social Movements is an online open access journal of student-created zines about social movements published in Digital Scholarship @ Tennessee State University in collaborative partnership with the Department of Social Work and Urban Studies and the Tennessee State University Library.
